Design Process
​
After finalizing the sketch, we proceeded to assign roles to each team member. Those with experience in clothing production were assigned to tasks such as sewing and pattern making. The remaining team members were tasked with purchasing materials and developing the powerpoint presentation.
Our team leader initiated the process by working on draping, followed by pattern-making. However, upon realizing that the fabric did not meet our expectations, she took the initiative to re-sew the fabric to ensure it aligned perfectly with our design.

After experimenting with various approaches, we ultimately decided to use boning to provide support to the sleeve. This decision was made while the other design processes were progressing smoothly. Finally, our final look was complete.

Learning Experience
​
In the beginning, we encountered confusion regarding the patterns for the body part of our design. We found it challenging to sew a close-fitting outfit with a 2-D pattern. Fortunately, Jackie introduced us to the technique of draping, which enabled us to create patterns using a 3-D dummy. Although the first pattern didn't fit perfectly, it provided valuable learning experiences and opportunities for experimentation.
We also encountered some difficulties while working on the sleeves, as our goal was to create puffed sleeves that could stand firmly. First, we attempted to gather the fabric to achieve the desired effect, but unfortunately, the sleeves lacked the necessary strength to hold their shape. So, we made the decision to incorporate polyester boning to provide the necessary support for the sleeves.

In conclusion, there are many possible ways to produce a design, thus we have learned that we can keep exploring various techniques to increase the chance of finding the most effective pattern-making and sewing methods. Through trials and experimentation, we can identify any errors that may arise. When facing difficulties, we should seek different approaches and advice from the professionals. Persistent dedication towards the goal and efficient team work are also key elements of accomplishing a task.
